September 22, 2011OER completes first Green-e audit with no exceptions
OneEnergy Renewables recently completed its first Green-e verification audit with no exceptions, demonstrating and verified by a third-party that our RECs and selling process meet Green-e standards.
The audit ensures that OneEnergy Renewables provides RECs and offsets that are purchased from eligible renewable generators, as defined in the Green-e Energy National Standard, and that none of our RECs are double counted or sold to more than one purchaser. It also verifies that OneEnergy Renewables:
- Does not make any specific purchases of nuclear power
- Provides true and accurate information on our Product Content Labels
- Has purchased no electricity or RECs from fuel sources for which negative marketing claims were made
- Purchased enough renewable electricity or RECs in quantity and type to meet its customer demand for each product.
OneEnergy Renewables received Green-e certification in February 2010 and has since passed all audit and transparency verifications. One hundred percent of OneEnergy Renewables' RECs are tracked and verified.
