OneEnergy’s Patuxent Solar participates in Maryland’s community solar program. Once completed, Patuxent will provide enough locally-sourced solar energy to power 350 homes and businesses in BGE’s service area.
Named for the nearby Patuxent River, Patuxent Solar integrates farming, honey production, and pollinator-friendly renewable energy in Lothian, Maryland.
Community solar enables residents who can’t access rooftop solar to sign up for locally sourced renewable energy. Our partner, CleanChoice Energy, signs up BGE customers who wish to use clean energy from the project to lower their electric bills. OneEnergy is designing and overseeing the project.
