Webster Creek

Location: New Lisbon, WI

Size: 1.5 MWdc

The Webster Creek solar project is a 1.5 MW site serving customers of Oakdale Electric Cooperative in Juneau County.

The 10-acre site will hold 3,302 panels to generate 1.5 MW or 2,831,202 kWh annually. Together with Oakdale Electric Co-op and SolarShare WI Co-op, the project allows members, who are either individuals or businesses, to invest in community-scale solar projects in Wisconsin. The synergetic partnership between the co-ops allows for investments in local solar to their servicing area and also relieve substation energy overload.

OneEnergy's partnership with Oakdale Electric started over two years ago, alongside eight other Wisconsin electric cooperatives. The co-op partnership drives cost savings for each of the co-ops to get better pricing and a greater return on investment for their members. Webster Creek is one of 12 sites that OneEnergy is developing within the co-op partnership.

“OneEnergy is proud to be partnering with SolarShare and Oakdale Electric Cooperative on these projects to provide cost-effective and reliable solar power to the rural communities of Juneau County,” said Eric Udelhofen, Vice President of Development with OneEnergy.

The site will be maintained with a pollinator vegetation mix that will frequent pollinating insects and boost native plant growth.
